1/6 Scale figurine of Katy Keene – Shimmering Dynasty redressed

On Internet, in my search of figurines (or dolls, like they call them too), I fell on another stunning beauty. Her name is Katy Keene and the edition is Shimmering Dynasty. She is produced by Integrity Toys under its Fashion Royalty dividion.  The figurine has long raven black hair and a beautiful face. She was wearing an amazing black goan in glittering fabric. As I was not raised in opulence, I always feel a bit in discomfort with goan dresses, tall mensions, castels and high luxury material of the very rich people. I prefer more standard material. Of course, it has its own kind of luxury and glittering chromes but it is different.

Here is the result of the work of my best friend Mimi on the making of the new outfit that I asked her to fabricate for this new project.  I had supplied the fabrics and told her how I wanted the outfit and she used also some of her own ideas during the process. It turned out as a stunning result. I wanted her to keep the original puffy shinny black shoulders of the goan dress and install them on a Rocker style leather jacket because I wanted something out of the ordinary, with a touch of luxury. She fabricated also a pair of gloves without fingers made with glittering black fabric. The pair of pants has been made of criss-cross strips of simili leather at the front of each leg. All jewelries made of chrome chains to give a motorcycle rocker look and also some more installed on the outfit.

I had this 1/6 scale motorcycle chopper style since a couple of years and went to advertise it for sale, but finally I had no offer, so now  I have no regret that I didn’t sell it. I needed it for my new babe project. After some photo shoots  I have started to modify the cycle as it is not completely to my desire. This motorcycle has been produced as a Fire department bike, so I am going to remove all the fire aparatus from it and perhaps change the color. For this picture above,Mimi has removed the background  around the girl and the bike on her Fotofiltre  software and I have crafted the Montréal Miniatures background tapestry using 2 different softwares for this pic.

The Katy Keene of my imagination

As you can see, I wanted her for a project  of a rocker babe and her motorcycle but in my imagination the thing evolved into different venues where this beauty became a talented rock and roll singer, a gifted dancer and a stunning actress, so I guess that the Katy Keene of my thoughts, is different than the one found in the comic magazines. As far as I can remember, I never happened to read any of her stories.

Katy is preparing for the show. Her favourite seamstress  (Mimi) has made a nice bustier for her but to go over that, she has also crafted a very stylishedl black  jacket and a sexy pair of pants, both done in leather.

Behind the stage, she is a bit stressed out while she is fixing her hair. The show will start in the next 20 minutes.

As the show is going on, suddenly, at the end of a tune she deseapears of the scene and we hear a roaring engine as she arrives on the stage driving her new motorcycle. She sings a tune for her friends, motorcycle fans.

A piece of artcraft that I created is a motorcycle gang crest for the back of her leather jacket. The drawing is done, but the mini crest on fabric has not been printed yet. I am involved, as usual, in too many projects at the same time. I think that I will never get rid of this habbit.

I worked hours on it on Inkscape, a vector graphic freeware.  You will see the result of the finished work in my computer, but I always keep all my work board because my drawings are made with a serial of computer tools and many little pieces of drawings that I have to assemble like a scale model kit, step by step. I duplicate many pieces that I keep around so it is easier for my relatives and friends, to see the evolution of the process. It is a very different method than hand drawing with pencils and bruches. Take a look at the final step here below. Note that I wanted on my figurine some small pieces of chain (rocker style) for ear rings and I made one on my drawing too. The name on the crest is my idea and the picture goes with it. I used old english letters as many times motorcycle gangs are using this kind of fonts on their banners. Please, click on the image to see it full size and see the small details.
